Oma

One of my friends' grandmother passed away today. It's never a good thing to face. It's never fun, or heartwarming to lose someone you love, even when it ends suffering or a quality of life that you would never wish for.

When it doesn't do either it's not necessarily worse, just different. And of course, the words we can all offer are trite. They are worthless mutterings offering no warmth, no comfort. Just camaraderie.

Hopefully it's enough, because it's all I have.

beans, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time, just as they have been during the times when Oma has struggled.

You've always shown an incredibly robust passion and warmth even when the duties you performed in her care wore on you. I admire you greatly for that, and for the positive attitude that you had, even when things were hard for the both of you.
