The New Wedding Plan

Let me tell you a bit about E-3. The Electronic Entertainment Expo is held at the The Los Angeles Convention Center.
Our trademark glass and steel pavilions, which house the exhibition halls, towers and lobbies are conveniently linked by a meeting room concourse forming a grand unified center. With a total of 720,000 square feet of exhibition and 147,000 square feet of meeting room space, the Los Angeles Convention Center provides a preeminent setting for any event.
Every gaming company in the world has a booth, and tries to show off for the media so that their next game/console/accessory/chair/hardware/software gets mentioned. Entrance for non-media has not been allowed, until the company realized they can charge thousands of dollars, and people will pay! Luckily, I'm not that rich, though I am that crazy!

My volunteering with the Stratics Media Group does not assure me a ticket. My hours and hours of dedication and mindless forum whoring, does! Yes, I'm a forum whore, get over it.

The reason I bring up E3, is that it is intimately tied to our honeymoon plans! Here's the goal!

  • Thursday, April 27th, Stay in stateline, get marriage license

  • Friday, April 28th, Hopefully meet family and enjoy each other in Vegas, let everyone meet and greet, etc

  • Saturday, April 29th, Get primped up and get married! Food after at the cheesecake factory, with pictures of everyone in between!

  • Sunday, April 30th, Leave for home

  • Monday, May 1st, Drive to LA and take our cruise!

  • Friday, May 5th, Disembark, and drive home, after a wonderfully relaxing time together on board.

  • Monday, May 8th, Leave for E3!!

  • Friday, May 12th, Come home, after an exhausing week of hanging around with game developers and walking the floor a thousand times for panels, and interviews!

I'm sure I'll take a few days off work after we get home, before beginning married life while working! LOL

Anyway....that's the plan!!!! :p Time to go back to sleep. My tooth is KILLING me!! :(

Oh yeah, Pat fixed my sidebar thing! GO PAT! *dances*

I fixed my blog! GO ME!

I figured it out! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Still trying to get that sidebar thing which has been pushed to the bottom back up to the side, but for now...it's cool where it is, I guess. Since I can't figure out how to move it yet, it's fine!!

I got my root canal done today. First of 4. It wasn't painful at all, thank everything good!! But there were some complications (short canal, access issues, and gum tissue was growing up through the root of the tooth), so I'm out of work today, and on pain pills and antibiotics. yay.

The big news in the Simpson/Bee household (soon to be Simpson/Simpson Bee, LOL!) is that my bankruptcy has yet to be filed, and so, out of necessity, we postponed the wedding. I don't know why everyone is freaking out about it. We get to go on our cruise at a nicer time of year, the hotels are less, the city will be less crowded, airfare is less. People must think Pat and I are fighting and so postponed it because of that. Get real people. If Pat and I were fighting and I thought I didn't want to marry him, I'd have moved out a long time ago. Our commitment to each other is cemented, all we need is some dude from some state to make it "legal". As far as we're concerned, it's a done deal! :)

We don't have an exact date yet, it took us a year to come up with the old one!! We're aiming at April 29th and we're striving to make it official even now! :) Striving makes it sound as if I'm fervently working towards it, instead of having work calendars, cruise calendars, chapel calendars, and a million phone numbers in front of me, and thinking "geez, this is a lot of work, I'll do it tomorrow!"

Now, the only thing which may change about the invitations is not only a new type (my mom and dad never got theirs btw...SORRY MOM!!!), but also a range of available things to do while in Vegas. That is, assuming that drinking and gambling aren't your thing. How that could possibly be is beyond one such as I, but I'm told that people do exist that are like that! Poor things.

Tawnia and I are going to Disneyland at the end of October, for her birthday. She's never been to an amusement park and let me assure you, spirits are high!! Tawnia is awesome, and we have so much fun together, I can't wait!! There's a few new rides around, and I've yet to see California Adventures, not to mention Space Mountain has re-opened!

Steven has returned to Camelot, as have I. While I continue my volunteer position for EQ2 Stratics I'm excited for the chance to work with Mythic Entertainment on their game, Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC).

Let's see...what else is going on? I set Christmas starting October 10th. Actively looking for a new job, since rumors at work abound that no new Christmas help is going to be hired, and let's face it, I'd really rather sell myself on the street then work my ass off for the pittance that they dole out, expecting worship of the highest degree because I actually have a job. It's not that I'm not greatful. I just stopped caring.

Other then that, and the usual ups and down of life, and puppyhood (Pat and I are not the only 2 in this family ya know!), things are well, yadda, yadda, yadda.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and remember: School sucks. When you're done, you still gotta go get a life!

Blogs suck!

Oki, so I haven't updated the blog, cause I've been having trouble with my html editor, but I've decided to continue anyway, without the fancy links, because I'm lazy, and you all need your little bee fix!! WOO!

SO!! Reno was fun! We stayed at John Ascouga's Nugget (http://www.janugget.com/), and we played at the Silver Club (http://www.silverclub.com/). The Silver Club had 3 dollar blackjack single deck, with a royal match game, a live cover band on thur/fri/sat night, and really good staff. I mean the staff was AMAZING!!!! Pat ended up $127 up for the whole 5 days, and I ended it down $11, even after winning a nickel royal straight flush, my first one ever!!! $200 bucks baby!! WOO!

The Tailhook thing itself was awesome, and I really loved the carrier guys walking around with their "Shooter" shirts on. It was an incredible feeling. For those who aren't familiar with carrier operations (not that I am! LOL) Shooter are responsible for safely delivering each aerial vehicle off the flight deck safely. They were cool! =)

In other news, Steven May, best friend for many years, has come back from his self-imposed hermitage and is now available for people to talk to!! YAY!!

Anyway, I have a lot of updates coming, so keep an eye out!!!

Camping was fun

I realize this is a week late, but oh well, ya'll will live!

Pat and I went to Onion Valley last weekend, (Aug 25-27) to camp for a few days! We got to hike up the mountain to Little Pothole lake. The trail starts at 9100 feet, and goes up to 9800 feet within 2 miles. The hike was pretty excruciating, since I'm so out of shape, but it was FUN! The lake was beautiful, though small (as the name implies).

It was so steep!!!!!!!!!!! I mean steep!!! We took a little camelback with water, and a few protein bars for sustanence and we just hiked!! On the way down we saw 2 deer! They were so close to us...we got some great pictures. I haven't gotten them up yet, except for Pat's personal website. Please be aware, this is hosted on our computer here, so it's really slow, but the pictures are cool!!

We had a chipmunk which came right into our campsite and tried to steal the cashews and almonds we had brought to munch on. He succeeded! The little monster wasn't scared to come right up to us, and more then once was within arms reach. I hope the little guy doesn't die come winter, since I doubt he's storing food. He was a horrible menace. But we got some good pictures!!

Pat's never been to fish hatchery! We got to see some really big trout, and we've decided to try our hand at fishing! Those fish were HUGE, and while we didn't have a quarter to feed them, there was some food sitting on the ground and it brought back my memories of feeding fish at the Colorado hatcheries I went to, years ago. Pat's eyes went wide when he saw those fish jump out of the water to grab the food. He was impressed, and acted like a little boy who had found a new toy. He was so cute, and it warmed my heart!! I love my honey!!!!!

Hopefully we'll get a chance to go more then once a year. My schedule will hopefully be better next summer!!

On other notes, the Aztecs were destroyed by UCLA on Saturday. Their quarterback had fractured his hand a few days before the game, so I was hoping we'd at least stand a chance, but it ended up 44-21. I know they sold a lot of tickets, and I know that most SDSU fans are disappointed in the showing. I am rather disappointed, but oh well, that's the life of an SDSU fan!!

I was really hoping we'd get a chance to go to a game this year, but with my schedule, it's not really gonna happen.

SOE is going to have the 2006 fan faire in Atlanta, hopefully in April. I'm really hoping I get a chance to go. I've worked so very hard. Pat and I have decided not to go to E3. It's too expensive, though it's so exclusive that in my heart, I feel kinda bad not going. Pat is right though, we need to concentrate on getting a car for me, and on paying off the 2nd mortgage. But the little girl in my still wants to goooooooooooooo!! *pouts*

We leave for Reno on Wed. Pat will be going to the Tailhook convention. I'm so excited!!! I've never seen Lake Tahoe, and Pat promised to take me, so I could see it!!

Everyone have a great week, I hope you all had a safe weekend!!
